Compton Early College (CEC) in partnership with Compton College is in its eighth year of operation. Established in 2015 as a senior high school, CEC has incorporated a middle school and spans grades 6-12. An early college's purpose is to provide students with an opportunity to earn an AA (Associate of Arts Degree) and/or IGETC (Intersegmental General Education Transfer Certificate) while also earning their high school diploma.
ESPORTS
CUSD’s award-winning Esports program prepares students for 21st century jobs.
STEAMFEST
CUSD's annual STEAM festival where students from all schools present their STEAM projects, drawing 8,000+ community members.
TECHNOLOGY
CUSD provides award-winning Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) programs at all school sites.

Five CUSD schools – Davis Middle School, Centennial High School, Compton High School, Compton Early College High School, and Dominguez High School – participated in the Monrovia SoCal FTC Kickoff: INTO THE DEEP presented by RTX.

Universal Music Group’s Technology Leadership brought their team, interns, and 12 HP computers to Compton Early College High School to teach 30 CUSD scholars about careers in technology. They also helped the students, who were from all four CUSD high schools, build out computers.
