PARTICIPATION ELIGIBILITY

CEC expects student-athletes to meet our high expectations. Students receiving a grade below a C in any course will not participate in athletic events.

Compton Early College's Return to Play Safety Plan was last revised on May 28.

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • MaxPreps hosts information on high school teams, including our team schedules and results.
  • California Interscholastic Federation governs athletic competition across the state.
  • NCAA Eligibility Center has information about the process of becoming a college student-athlete.
    • Given the unprecedented events during Spring/Summer 2020 due to COVID-19, the NCAA Eligibility Center has partnered with the NCAA membership to identify adjustments to the initial-eligibility certification process.Read the COVID-19 FAQ. These changes may not capture all unique scenarios; however, NCAA Customer Service is available to assist with questions Monday-Friday 9 a.m.to 5 p.m. Eastern time at 877-622-2321.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION

In order to participate in Athletics, students must submit:

  1. Physical: Either complete paperwork consenting to have a District provided physician examine the student athlete, or have your personal doctor complete these forms.
  2. Copy of insurance card
  3. Code of Ethics and Permission Slip
  4. CIF Concussion Return to Play Protocol signature page
